Tons of West coast Ravers Dancing and Climbing Speakers

Dream a Little Dream Rave -April 30, 2022.

Dream a Little Dream was a groundbreaking rave that originated from the collaboration of two passionate ravers from different regions of the West Coast. One was a talented graphic designer based in the Inland Empire, while the other resided in Portland, Oregon. The idea took shape when Gl00m13, a renowned DJ on a rave tour, needed a Los Angeles stop for their event. The Inland Empire was suggested as the location, despite being far from the typical rave scene.

Conspiring the Idea

Initially hesitant about the success of the event, Gl00m13 was intrigued by the proposal. After brainstorming a solid theme, the graphic designer and the DJ collaborated on creating captivating artwork and began promoting the party. The lineup was carefully curated to garner local support and ensure the event's success, although the extent of its triumph was uncertain.

A Night to Remember

As the date of Dream a Little Dream approached, anticipation grew among the rave community. The unique concept and strategic planning paid off, as the event turned out to be a massive success beyond anyone's expectations. Ravers from all over the West Coast flocked to the Inland Empire to experience the magic of Dream a Little Dream.

POV:

The event took place in an abandoned airplane hangar, creating an atmosphere of mystery from the start. Upon arrival in Rialto,CA, we navigated through a suburban area off the 210 freeway and parked near a local gas station. From there, we followed a digital map sent via Google Voice, leading us on foot through an undeveloped plot of land. It wasn’t until the dark, grim warehouse came into view, accompanied by the distant thumping of techno beats, that we knew we were on the right path. Some attendees veered off course into the brush, despite our efforts to leave road signs—it was all a matter of trial and error.

Isaiah, who was just beginning to invest in Eyeball Soundsystem’s speaker setup, had us help load and unload the gear into the warehouse in a scene straight out of Call of Duty. I handled the generator, lighting, earlier in the day, while Gl00m13 took charge of booking the DJs and delivering equipment. We had additional support from SFV Acid, who provided extra subwoofers, and Sebastian Dempasswords, who assisted with the generator rental. This wasn’t our first time using the warehouse; we had previously collaborated with Sebastian and Rick Klotz of Freshjive on an Insomniac Events photoshoot here. During that time, Sebastian created a unique mirror tile art piece in one of the rooms. The warehouse walls were adorned with graffiti masterpieces, a hall of fame featuring artists like Ninja.

F*%CK THE POLICE:

The vibes were electric. People were skateboarding, as the warehouse doubled as a DIY skate spot during the day. Ravers danced freely, some on acid, others just soaking in the scene, with many dressed in pajamas to match the night’s theme. Our crew was among the first to introduce Liquid Light Show visuals at the time, even encouraging others to participate in the visual arts. Local DJ legends like Glowybones, Baseck, and Gartex kept the energy high with their sets throughout the night. The atmosphere was intense, as everyone knew the location was risky. The event eventually got shut down by the cops around 1 AM, sending everyone scattering into the streets. Some were stopped and questioned, but thankfully, everyone made it home safe. This time, the authorities had the upper hand
